Luna Piena is one of those Eastside neighborhood restaurants you have probably walked by many times. This time though, we decided to go inside for dinner and what a delight! The front part of the restaurant has a lovely bar and beautiful brick walls, and a lovely intimate dining room. But the surprise is in the back, where there is a beautiful enclosed garden area (with glass ceilings) that makes you feel like you’re dining in Italy. The food is excellent! This Tomato had the burrata with mango, prosciutto and truffle oil. A sensual delight. The branzino was fresh and prepared beautifully and their homemade lasagna is excellent. Gelato for dessert. Nice wine selection too and reasonably priced. Great place for private parties too.
